Thank you for your interest in the KRUZ @ 97.5, Cumulus Santa Barbara Internship Program. We offer internship opportunities to those interested in pursuing a career in the broadcast industry. Please note that our internships are unpaid.
KRUZ offers a non-paid internship opportunity to anyone seeking insight and hands-on training within the workings of a radio station. In addition to day-to-day working knowledge and radio-broadcast experience, participating interns will gain valuable "hands-on" training, all of which may be applied and used in future employment positions within the broadcast industry

A Bit About The Programming Internship:
 
Intern will train directly under KRUZ's on-air, production, sales, and promotion staff.  Training and experience will include, but is not limited to, assisting on-air talent with daily on-air shifts, assisting the station’s promotional staff with promotional events, and assisting the station’s sales and administrative staff with other broadcast-business activities as available.  Attention to detail is imperative with this position.  Prospective candidate must be able to accommodate a varied and flexible schedule, which may include nights and weekend hours.   Internships are available all year.  Please note that participation in the internship program does not guarantee future employment.
 

 
Prospective candidates who are currently enrolled in an accredited school majoring within a certificate or degree-seeking program, associated with an accredited mentorship program or associated with an approved mentorship program. Must provide required paper work to receive credit for the internship.
Interns must be able to make a 10 hour per week commitment.    
Being enrolled as a student is NOT required.
